What is the policy on where a driver is supposed to stop? Late night (1:15am 5/19/11) the driver of the 40 West doesn't stop at the bus stop at the Kapolei transit center. Instead, they turn at the intersection before the stop, honk their horn, and expect riders to come to her instead. I've also seen the driver miss people who are waiting on the bench, if the rider doesn't notice that the bus stopped early. I can understand trying to make up time if they're running late, but making the person walk all that way just takes more time.

Dear Dragon Master,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We will create a Customer Service Report (CSR) and submit it to our Transportation Department for investigation and action as we do with all similar reports. To answer your question; our operators have been trained to properly service all bus stops along any route and to assist awaiting riders in that way and not in the way you described.

In the future, please call 848-4500 to report such incidents or you can submit your reports through our web site and via our Customer Comment Form: thttp://webapps.thebus.org/Feedback/FeedBack.asp?C=B

Thank you again for your report on Route 40 for May 19, 2011 traveling near the Kapolei Transit Center at 1:15 a.m.
